Private Investigator Program
On August 23, 2007, the Private Security and Investigative Services Act came into effect. The new law requires security industry workers to be licensed, including some that were not licensed previously.
If you are a security guard, private investigator, bodyguard, bouncer or loss prevention personnel, you must now apply for a licence from this ministry.
Agencies that sell security services still need to be licenced and must renew annually.
This program consisting of Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services curriculum is designed to prepare students for the certification test.
The program is a combination of in-class and on-line learning.
The cost is $250.00
To start the program call the college at 905-643-8778 with a credit card for payment or drop by the front desk.
