Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.

To be eligible for OSAP a student (or their parents/spouse/sponsor) must have been a resident of Ontario for at least 12 months in a row up to the beginning of the study period applied for and not be enrolled in full-time postsecondary studies during this 12-month period.

A student also must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada (landed immigrant or a protected person), have applied for an approved postsecondary program and be enrolled in a minimum of 60 per cent of a full course load (40 per cent for students with a with a documented disability with the Department of Accessible Learning Services).

Please note: When applying online ensure all information is accurate and submit all of your required supporting documentation. You can then verify that all your outstanding requirements have been satisfied by checking your status online.
